Chocolate

Cheryl was what you’d call ‘Strictly Business’ and seldom ever wanted to deal with the likes of the Production aspects of Kay’s Confections, formerly a simple candy store now turned into a big corporation.  She always wore the same drab colored suits day in and day out; just so that people were reminded she had no intention of not being taken seriously.

The Muse

Perhaps it can be said that the pen is mightier than the sword, but the way I see it, the pen is also mightier than the man or woman.

It all started at the local arts and supply store I go to a few blocks down the street from where I live.

It was a rather unusual shop, full of things you wouldn’t normally find in an art store, fortune telling baubles, dice, board games, magic trick supplies, Halloween decorations, you name it, really…but the sign outside still insisted upon calling itself Art and Supply Depot.

Plastique Surgery

Her blindfold was removed and she could see before her a laboratory with several computer panels and monitoring devices.

“Miss Williams…” a voice from behind her crooned.

“Roger Vaincroft!” Her eyes were now filled with hatred and anger at the sing-song man standing behind her.

“Ah…so you remember me, my dear…that’s good!  I was hoping the very reason my career as a plastic surgeon ended would at least remember my voice, if not my face.”

The Order of New America - Part 2

2. A new world

I woke up from the light slumber I had fallen in sometime during the night when the carriage stopped to a halt. Dawn had to be approaching, as from the carriage window a strange, cold light was filtering in.

Richard Heckert gleefully clapped his hands.

- As expected, we made it in time. –

He opened the window and stuck out his head, greeting someone out of my sight.

Painted Ponies

Today it was flowers.

Four days ago, a little box of designer chocolates.

Trish Cavanaugh glared at the tiny bunch of violets, tied with a silk
ribbon, which had been left on her chair. Wasn't he ever going to give
up? She hated to toss the innocent flowers in the trash--they hadn't done
anything to her, after all--but she didn't like being reminded of Alec.
She finally compromised by putting them in a vase in the ladie's room
where she knew he wouldn't see them.

Free Market 5/5

Jane stared helplessly at the side of her cage, its metal bars and
the cloth draped over it. She was packed too tightly to move, and
her whole body ached. She would have given anything just to be able
to lie down on the floor outside, but she had nothing to give anyway.

Whatever kind of vehicle she was in, some kid of van or lorry, it
had been moving fast for what seemed like forever, violently jerking
her around with each turn and change in speed. There were no voices
here, just the deafening sound of the engine.

Free Market 4/5

There were distant voices. Slowly, consciousness settled in.

Jane tried to think of the last thing that had happened to her. She
was in a room with beige walls, soft carpets... She was having some
sort of procedure done... Then she remembered. She was having a
key made for her chastity belt. A personal key. An illegal key.
